The beginnings:
A major milestone for the team and Henry County Soccer was 2003 when HCSA hired Ricky Wolff as Director of Coaching. He introduced
the Academy system to the club. Through it and Ricky's involvement the club changed profoundly for the better. His
approach, influenced by the Dutch youth development system, arguably one of the very best in the world, matched the philosophy
of our coach very well. Juergen Mauer was finally able to do what he wanted to do since he started to get involved
with his team:
Long-term systematical player development, where skills, fun and long term goals are more important than size
and winning at all cost.
